basically just the title. In the last couple days youtube.com specifically has been borderline unusable for me on firefox. All other websites work fine for me on firesfox and youtube has no issues on other browsers.

YouTube all of a sudden started to slow down and only be able to load videos fast enough in 360p resolution, I tried watching YouTube on Microsoft edge and YouTube handled 1080p easily there, I have cleared the cash and made sure my Firefox and Windows are up to date and still the issue persists.

this only seams to occur on YouTube as amazon prime and speed test works without issues

In this help forum, is there a way to search for posting done by a specific Contributor? I find some contributors are very helpful and would like to see more of that person instead of reading thru a lot of posting. Thank you

When using Firefox (latest) and attempting to login into a website I get an error (see attached image) generated by the host's server's firewall. It appears it thinks I'm a bot. When I use Firefox's privacy mode I don't get this error. I would prefer not to use privacy mode. I contacted the administrator of the website I'm attempting to access and he couldn't offer any help.

When I use Google Chrome browser I don't encounter the above problem. This leads me to believe it's not an issue with my Avast Anti-Tracking and Antivirus settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox on Linux does not allow entries in forms that are called up in IFRAME. It works perfectly on Android.

Does anyone know why this is the case? Uwe

Firefox 127.0 (64-Bit)

Today for the first time after the latest update 127.0 (64-bit), my many firefox pages and tabs crashed and closed and a pop up to send crash report.

So I have fired up firefox again to find only a single page opens up, I have lost probably 16+ pages with multiple tabs on each, been like that for months, I have 32GB memory so there is normally no issues or slowness. However after the crash, even though only a single firefox page is open, windows task manager shows Firefox (20) and if I expand the task, I can see each firefox is taking lots of memory.

So it looks like the old session pages/tabs are still there somewhere but not accessible, I would like to get them back if possible. I went through reseting it to default, disabling the add ons etc but nothing has worked.

Back in October 2022, changes were made to how private windows appear, separating their icon in the OS taskbar, giving it a new icon, and putting a badge on the top right of the window.

At the time, support threads (such as this one https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1393494#answer-1542568 ) suggested changing three options to revert these changes: -browser.privateWindowSeparation.enabled -browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-indicator -browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-logo I really dislike how these changes look, and so immediately followed this advice. In my advanced options, every one of these is still set to "false" to this day. However, after a recent Firefox update (my current version is listed as 127.0), these no longer seem to have any effect making the new look the only option.

I would strongly prefer to at least re-combine the taskbar icons for standard and private browsing into a single icon. Is there any way to do this in the current update, or is this change permanent going forward? If it is permanent, would reverting to version 126.01 risk losing my current Firefox profile?

I think Thunderbird did an update and now my email and my wife's emails are gone....including all of our saved emails. I believe we are using PoP accounts and not imap. Is there a way to get back all our emails?

Question 1 - Is this a real version? (as dlsplayed in troubleshooting information) Question 2 - How can I upgrade to version 115,, or do I have to delete and start again? Sub question - if I have to delete what is the best method? I just spent a few days installing and then installing 5 gig of settings and mail from Windows 10; I would hate to do it again.

Thunderbird 115.11.etc has become seriously slow when deleting or moving emails - the first one goes quickly but then it all slows down for the second and subsequent emails. I have found that this is a Virus checker issue - I use Microsoft's own defender software on Windows 11 - and have now eliminated the problem by making an exception in the virus software to the TB profile folder. My question is: how safe is this - I don't want to allow virus attacks in email but at the same time I don't want the slow software! What do you suggest? Thank you

I am a heavy user of Firefox: daily & around 8 hours a day.

I usually use alt+shift+left/right-arrow to select a few words to the right / to the left. With the latest update (mandatory because this is a work-administered) laptop, the new behavior is that tabs are changed.

I want any solution to revert this to standard (past) behavior (preferably not an extension). Looked around in about:config but could not find anything to toggle on/off.

This is highly annoying as I've had this workflow for literally years. Even opening this ticket I encountered the issue more than 3 times as I was phrasing the message and had to delete & rewrite some stuff while also have other tabs open in the same Firefox window.

I am trying to access websites that use three.js. When I initially start, the website runs too slowly to be usable, but if I tab out for some time and then tab back in, the website runs at normal speed for a bit before slowing down again. I cannot find any solutions to this problem nor anyone else who had the same problem as me.

Tired of Apple mail, want to install Thunderbird 78.14.0 on my mac mini. Am running Yosemite 10.10.5.

I can see access to the files on this site but need an installer to load to system.

Am familiar with unix can work off a console but am not a programmer, wouldn't know one end of a compiler from the other.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Is it possible to install Firefox (or at least the profiles) onto an external SSD (i.e., not the C: drive)? If so, how?

Note: this is not about migration/backup/recovery of profiles. Nor is it about where files are downloaded by default.

Windows 11 is consuming nearly all of the C: drive. I badly need to get Firefox (and later Thunderbird) onto my E: drive. I further note that the installer gives no options whatsoever as to the destination drive.

Most of the help I've found on the web is clearly outdated.

Hello. I am not familiar with this end to end encryption that Facebook now does for Messenger but now when I try to use Video Calling/Chat it tells me it is not supported by my browser, Firefox. I have never had any problems with it before. Is there a fix? Thanks

Hi folks! I use Thunderbird Beta (128.0b1 (64-bit)) for my email currently. I've been having a problem with some emails, mainly in my Sent folder, showing up as long strings when I try to view them. It looks like untranslated code put into plain text to me, but I'm not sure what would be causing it. I have no problem reading the email if I log into our webmail to do so. Example text from an email attached. Is this a known problem? Any ideas on how I might solve it? I like Thunderbird, but not being able to search and read through sent emails is a real problem. Good Morning. I have been using Firefox for 20+ years. Last night it did an update overnight, and this morning I am getting "The Page Isn't Redirecting Properly" error message on my business CRM site. This appears to be the only site having an issue. I have never had this error previously.

I tried all suggestions already including clearing cache/cookies, checking settings, delete history, troubleshoot mode and nothing. The site opens fine on Chrome and MS Edge.

Any additional help is appreciated, this is very frustrating.
