Hi, an old version of butter provided the possibility to make a deployable version in the dist/ directory running "node make deploy". The current github version of popcorn.maker doesn't have the script make.js. Is it still possible to make a deployable version? Thanks.

Chosen solution

Thanks John. I emailed the Popcorn Maker developers and they confirmed to me that the make.js file has disappeared for several reasons. It's still possible to make Popcorn Maker deployable on a plain http server, but I need to cut away several NodeJS dependencies (listed in package.json in the root of popcorn.webmaker.org github) and re route them to something new.

Hi iArmor

I do not understand Popcorn, but would like to know if the above post answered your question ?

If it did not we can try again to provide a suitable answer.

Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. The Popcorn Maker project has been modified a lot and the make.js file was suppressed.

Hi iArmor,
Sorry our answers so far have not resolved the issue.

I have tagged this as escalate. If you do not get a reply within a couple of days post back again and I will try to chase around for someone who can give you an answer.

Meanwhile please post back straight back to acknowledge my post, because then your own name shows up in the forum filters we use. The thread then moves into the needs attention category.

Sounds like you have found the answer yourself, if so you may wish to mark your own post as the thread solution.

Otherwise post straight back & then again in a couple of days if still unresolved and not in contact with anyone else.

Sorry if all this is rather inconvenient but by way of explanation

  • Popcorn & Webmaker questions are a new adddition to this forum late last year. We are still learning how to handle that topic.
  • Other forum changes introduced immediately prior to the new year holiday season are still being rolled out and modified.
