Please can someone give me some advice or guidance to help me with this annoying problem.

Like i mentioned i saved my Recovery Key (RK) because i think this is an excellent tool however when i tried to use it for the first time on my brand new computer, i was promptly told - Wrong Recovery Key. So i clicked on the "I have lost my other device" to get a new/another? RK, I put this key in the appropriate box only to be told the same thing again? wrong RK. What am i doing wrong, i cant make heads or tails of it.

Any suggestions would be grateful...

The "I have lost my other device" link to reset the sync key only works if you have entered the correct user name and password for an existing sync account.

To Find Your Key (must be from device with sync already setup)

  • At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options
  • Select the Sync panel.
  • Click Manage Account and then select My Recovery Key. A window displaying your Recovery Key will open.

To Generate A New Key

There is no Manage Account link or button on the Sync dialog (see attachment). I am using FF 19.0, back-leveled from 21.0 because of WebEx and Flash problems on Windows 8. How do I sync two computers running FF 19.0? It was easy about a year ago but now it's a sh*tshow, as I'm sure you all realize.

I'm another FF-to-Chrome convert who is trying to come back to FF but the recent quality issues really are making it difficult.
