What's new in Firefox for iOS (version 9)

This article is no longer maintained, so its content might be out of date.

Welcome back! This version of Firefox comes with new features and improvements to make your browsing experience even better.

Here’s what’s in store:

Tracking Protection

If you’re on iOS version 11, we’ve got great news! Firefox for iOS now identifies and blocks third-party trackers when you browse in a Private Tab. This prevents ads from following you across websites and boosts your browsing speed. You can change this setting so that it’s always on, or turn it off completely. To learn more, see Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for iOS.

Sync your bookmarks

We’ve improved the Sync feature so you can keep your passwords, history and bookmarks updated across your mobile and desktop devices. Visit Sync bookmarks, logins and browsing history on FIrefox for iOS to learn more.

Using iOS version 9 or older?

Firefox will continue to receive new feature and security updates on version 10 and newer. If you’re using iOS version 9, it’s a great time to update to the latest version of iOS. If you already have Firefox installed, it will continue to work, but it will not receive any updates.
