Search suggestions are popular searches that match what you're typing in the address bar. This is enabled by default. To turn them off, follow these steps:

  1. At the bottom of the screen, tap the menu button (the menu will be at the top right if you're using an iPad):

  2. Tap Settings in the menu panel.
  3. Tap Search.
  4. Tap the switch next to Show Search Suggestions to turn it off or on switchonios.
  5. Tap the Settings back arrow on the top left to return to the Settings menu.
  6. Tap Done to save your changes.
