This article applies to Firefox version 87 and above. See the Site Information panel article for previous Firefox versions.

If you have granted any special permissions to a website, you will see a Permissions icon Fx87PermissionsIconFx89PermissionsIcon in the address bar. Click this icon to open the Permissions panel, where you can view and adjust permissions for the website on the spot.

To change any other website permissions:

  1. Click the padlock Fx70GreyPadlockFx89Padlock in the address bar.
  2. Click the right arrow in the Site Information panel that opens.

  3. Click the More Information button in the next panel.

This will open the Page Info window, which contains a comprehensive Permissions section.

Tip: YOu can also open the Page Info window using one of these methods:

  • If the Menu bar is enabled,In the Menu bar, click Tools and select Page Info from the drop-down menu.
  • Right-clickHold down the control key while you click on an empty area of the web page and select View Page Info from the context menu.
  • Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Icommand + I.
