Master password users- migrate your logins to the new Firefox for Android

This article is no longer maintained, so its content might be out of date.

Before upgrading the previous version, we asked master password users to disable their master password (or primary password) in order to have their logins migrated, however, our message didn't reach everyone. So we built a new tool in Firefox for Android version 81+ to resolve this issue and allow users to bring over their logins from the previous version.

Migrate saved logins

  1. After upgrading to the latest version of Firefox for Android you will see a prompt to transfer your login data:
    FenixPasswordMigration
  2. Tap the Enter master password button.
  3. Enter your master password.
  4. You will see a confirmation, tap View saved logins to bring over your logins to the new Firefox.
