How do I manage my Persona account?

Mozilla Persona is an easy way to sign in to lots of websites using just your email address and a single password. This article explains how to reset your Persona password and how to manage different email identities.

How do I reset my Mozilla Persona password?

So there you are trying to sign in to your favorite website and you've forgotten your Persona password. Don't worry, you can just reset it.

  1. Click the "forgot your password?" link on the sign in screen.

  2. Type your new password in the entry fields and click reset password.

  3. Now you can use your new password to complete your login at your favorite website.

How do I reset the password for all my Persona email addresses?

The previous section explains how to change the password of one of your email addresses. In the case that you have more than one email address assigned to your Persona account you can simply change the password for all of them.

  1. Go to https://login.persona.org and click the Sign In button.
  2. Type your Persona username and password and click Sign In.
  3. On the Account Manager page click edit next to Password.

How do I add another email address to my Persona account?

The cool thing about Persona is the ability to set up multiple email addresses to use as your login identity. If you want to add another email address to use when you login to Persona-enabled sites, just add a new email to your Persona account. Make sure that you have already used Persona before following these steps.

  1. Click the Sign in button in your favorite site. (for example http://123done.org)
  2. In the Sign in window, click "Add another email".

  3. Type your new email and click the add button.

  4. Go to your email inbox and search for an email with "Complete Login to website using Persona" in the subject line.
  5. To confirm addition of this email address to your Persona account, click the link provided in the email. Now you can use this email address as your identity when logging in to websites with Persona.

How do I remove an email address from my Persona account?

When you no longer want to use an email address to Sign in to websites, you can delete it from your Persona account.

  1. Go to https://login.persona.org and click the Sign In button.
  2. Type your Persona username and password and click Sign In.
  3. On the Account Manager page click edit next to "Your Email Addresses".

How do I cancel my Persona account?

You can cancel your Persona account at any time:

  1. Go to https://login.persona.org and click the Sign In button.
  2. Type your Persona username and password and click Sign In.
  3. On the Account Manager page click the cancel your account link at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click the OK in the confirmation dialog that appears.
