Forum response - How is Private Network different than private browsing or Incognito mode?

This article is no longer maintained, so its content might be out of date.

Private browsing or Incognito mode allows you to browse without storing information about your session locally on your computer, so people who share your computer won’t see any of your browsing history. Neither private browsing nor Incognito mode protect your actual data transmission, so, your connection and location can still be known on public WiFi. Private Network protects your data transmissions, encrypting your connection and does not expose your IP address.
