I am new to Firefox. My tech repair advised me to use Mozilla as my browser but everytime i open a web page, it opens my itunes. How do i fix this ?

It opens my itunes folder and is using Firefox to run instead of opening as my web browser/search engine. I have reloaded from Mozilla.org and trying my best to follow instructions from here. I'd appreciate feedback and instructions.....thanks.....danna
