I have a new CPU running Windows 7 premium 64bit using original 17" monitor. Having multiple problems with text in FF version 8, 7, 6, text overlapping other text, images, or cut in half etc. Tried IE 9 & Chrome text ok mostly size problems. Have tried many suggestions made in Firefox forums. Like turn off hardware acceleration, tried downloading updates that were supposed to monitor & change different web pages. All no difference. I prefer Firefox but if it won't work with win 7 I don't know what to do.

Have you tinkered with Fonts & Colors in Options > Content?

That's one of the first things I tried, it almost seems like the problem goes deeper. I've read in the forums some say to allow pages to choose their own font others say the opposite. How do I get images of my settings so I can show them?
