Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the Firefox Support Forum. I understand that you're experiencing issues streaming radio from https://www.wxxinews.org/ in Firefox, while it works fine in Chrome. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this:

Clear your Firefox browsing data: Go to the menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner, select 'Options', then go to the 'Privacy & Security' tab. Under 'Cookies and Site Data', click on 'Clear Data' and make sure to select both 'Cookies and Site Data' and 'Cached Web Content'. Click 'Clear' to proceed.

Disable Firefox extensions: Sometimes, browser extensions can interfere with certain websites. To test if an extension is causing the issue, you can temporarily disable them. Go to the menu, select 'Add-ons', and in the 'Extensions' section, disable any extensions you have installed. Restart Firefox and check if the streaming issue persists.

Check your antivirus or firewall settings: Some security software or firewall settings may block certain websites or interfere with streaming. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall and see if that resolves the issue. Make sure to re-enable them afterward for your online protection.

If the above steps don't resolve the problem, it could be related to specific settings or configurations on your system. To further assist you, please provide some additional details such as the version of Firefox you're using, any recent updates or changes you've made to your system, and if you've encountered similar issues with other streaming websites.

Please let us know how it goes or if you have any further questions. We're here to help!

Best regards, Firefox Support Volunteer

Hi

This looks like a problem with playing Icecast streams where the stream is closed after playing a possible intro, so you do not hear the sound. Firefox 102.13.0 ESR (current ESR) doesn't have this problem.

This specific stream works for me in 116.0b6 (current Beta) and 117.0a1 (current Nightly).
