I have my book marks in a side menu. Recently that side menu disappeared and when I click on the menu to install it again my bookmarks are not there and have been replaced with a bunch of stuff I don't use. You can toggle the bookmarks sidebar on/off via "Ctrl+B". You can find a Sidebars button in the Customize palette and drag it on the Navigation Toolbar.
