Since I last updated a few days ago, information is missing on every web page I open. Some basic info comes up, but then it stops.

Two pages from the same site attached. In Chrome, everything loads in a few seconds.

In Firefox, info is still missing after five minutes or more. The same thing happens on every website; primary info only and "secondary" items don't load. Photos show, but captions are blank. A third file attached to show that.

I thought about deleting Firefox and starting from scratch, so I tried to both export and backup my thousands of bookmarks, but apparently whatever is wrong won't let me do either.

I've saved bookmarks before to transfer to a new computer several times, but I can't do it now.

Thanks for any help.

Make sure you haven't enabled High Contrast Mode in the OS settings.

Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Settings -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

What happens when you try to backup or export your bookmarks? If you have the add-on Default Bookmark Folder, try disabling it before backing up or exporting. You can copy bookmark backups from a folder in your profile folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1212923

TerryN21, I don't have that add-0n.

The problem happened after I downloaded and installed the latest Firefox update, which I usually do whenever the pop-up shows.

I had changed no other settings from the time everything worked until it went bad.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no go.

I tried Troubleshoot Mode:

"The problem happens in Troubleshoot Mode: If the problem still happens in Troubleshoot Mode, it is not being caused by an extension or theme. Other possible causes include changes made to Firefox preference settings, which are not disabled in Troubleshoot Mode."

The problem still happens and I made no changes before or after downloading and installing the latest update, and it happened immediately after installing it. Bummer. But thanks.
