download issue with name length
I just installed Firefox for the first time and I downloaded a pdf and when I went to access it, Firefox shortened the name of the file to two letters. When I tried to rename it to the full name, it only gave me so many letters. That never happened to me with Chrome.

Hi, that's strange.
If you want to be able to check and/or modify the document name while saving, you can turn on the feature to show a file browsing dialog when saving a download. This is on the Options page:
