I would like to move the URL window to the top
Seeing that there is a lot of wasted space (as per the screen shot), how can I move the URL and Search bars to share with the menu bar? This way I can get more real estate. TIA.

The address bar is one of the few controls that is fixed to the main toolbar. I've seen some screenshots people have posted on Reddit of mods that combine parts of various bars. It's done with custom style rules in a userChrome.css file, but I don't know the details of how they did it. You might follow up there:
