Hi,

I reset the master password for Firefox and I didn't process that all the saved passwords would erase (I was tired and did not fully read the warning before I pressed "ok"). Is there any way to go back to the list of the saved passwords (like "go back to a previously restored version")?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Unless you have a backup somewhere . . . .

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, the only "Old Firefox Data" folder is from several years ago. I went to the links and I am ascertaining that as of this point, I am out of luck.

I wish there was a backup "just in case" file for stupid mistakes.

What about a Mac OSX Time Machine backup?

Time Machine would have been an excellent thought, but like everything that has happened with this kerfuffle, it was never set up to make a backup.
