I forgot password & supposedly was emailed but nothing arrived after 3 tries
I don't know if I ever had a user name and password for firefox. So, when I couldn't sign in I asked to reset my password. The reply was something like "we've successfully sent an email to anyone with the email gmacpoe1@xxxxxxxxx.xxx
but.....after 3 tries to reset my password nothing has ever appeared in my email....

Such e-mail is always sent to the address on file with the web site.
If you are talking about the Password Manager Master Password, If you lost it, you can't open the manager. All you can do is to reset it. But you will lose anything stored.

Password for what? Firefox itself doesn't need a password.
