Has this account ever worked but without this warning?

I suspect that this business has purchased a domain, but "under the hood" the email service is being provided by the host business, or even some legitimate third party, but whose name is not the same as the one in the email server's certificate.

I would inspect the certificate and do some checks on the names it mentions. If you can satisfy yourself that the name returned by the server matches the actual provider then you could safely accept the exception. What I do in these circumstances is to adjust the email server settings to match the certificate.

It would also be a good idea to raise this issue with the email provider; they may have overlooked this and it could all be a simple accident.
