I need to move the menues to one edge of my screen so there would be more space in the up/down direction in order to see more of a webpage. This would increase the usability of my laptop-screen. Is it possible or not?

If you need more screen estate then you can look at the Autohide extension.

Same problem here. The screen height is too low to access a "enter" or "download" button at the bottom of an attached work page. How do I increase the height of the page (need to remove some of the garbage at the top - Firefox, ATT, Yahoo stuff).
