Firefox 95.0.2 requests update even if it's most recent

I'm using the current version of Firefox, which is 95.0.0.2. However, from time to time I get a message saying FF "... could not update itself, so I should manually download and install a newer version". After that, there is a message in the hamburger menu saying "update available - download now".

Has anybody an idea why Firefox thinks there is a newer version than the one I have installed?
