Slow connecting to web pages
Hello,
Firefox is very slow connecting to web pages. Everytime I click a link there is a 5-10s loading time (wheel spinning) before the web page starts to load. Once it starts, the page loads very quickly and runs normally. I'm not seeing this issue on internet explorer or chrome. I am on Win10 Enterprise.
I don't recall having this issue on the first install, I think it started in the last month. I tried reinstalling firefox and disabling all add-ins.
Any thoughts on a solution? I love Firefox but I've been forced to switch to Chrome until I resolve this issue :(

What's your computer system and Firefox version?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Safe mode did not fix the issue. Connecting to wikipedia.com took 17s.
Here's my version info: Firefox Quantum 63.0.1 (64-bit) Windows 10 Enterprise 10.0.15063 Build 15063
I was redirected to https://www.wikipedia.org/ and had no issue. Is this link any better?
Nope, same issue.
I just tried reinstalling and booting it up without any changes. Login, add-in etc. Still really
Any diagnostics I can upload? I'm wondering if it tries to redirect through some sort of proxy and fails. This is my work laptop...
Another tidbit of information. The slow loading is really sporadic:
I tried loading google.com. Instant load. Entered search query, loaded search results instant. Tried switching to 'image' search with the same search query, firefox spins wheel for 10+ seconds.
Weird, right?

Check with your IT in case there are any blocks on the system.
