Firefox crashes

I have Windows 10 (version 1703) and Firefox (updated to the most recent version) keeps crashing. It started June 21st and has been happening several times a day. The most recent one just happened and here's the crash ID#: 99ebf867-eae3-48e4-9f75-65ac51170715

I haven't installed any new software or changed anything. My antivirus software is windows defender and it is updated. Any thoughts? I really love Firefox and would hate to switch to another browser...

If you haven't already, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement? (More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode)

Thank you for the crash report ID:

The report doesn't strike me as being immediately actionable, or in other words, it doesn't lead me to have specific suggestions for you. Could you share a few other recent crash IDs to see whether they have the same signature or possibly provide other information?
