I want to same my bookmarks as a html file in my "documents" folder, but the html file is not saved! When i re-open my folder, the file isnot there!

I have tried to save my bookmarks in my hard disk, as i want to change pc without loosing my bookmarks. I tried to export them as a html file using Import and Backup > Export HTML, but the html file was not saved in my pc. Is there any alternative to save my data or saving is ..impossible?
