Change.org does not load with Firefox 29, but does with IE and Crome. :(

Change.org just shows "waiting for change.org" and the swirling icon. The site loads fine with IE and Crome. I have cleared my cache, as a matter of fact this was my first time visiting that site.

It appears as if the page is doing nothing but reloading.

Hello,

The site loaded fine for me here.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Thank you for the fast response, but that did nothing to make the problem go away.

I also disabled all add-ons, rebooted Firefox and tried again and nothing.

Getting the exact same results. :(

I'm willing to completely uninstall and reinstall Firefox, provided that Sync, actually backups ALL my information.

Good news - Horrible news

Synced Firefox. Uninstalled Firefox. Installed Firefox. Change.org works, yea!

Tried to log into Sync to recover everything and it is ALL gone, it does not even acknowledge that the e-mail address that I used is even an account! So I have LOST EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you remove your personal data when you uninstalled Firefox?

You can try to your previous Firefox profile folder with the Recuva undelete utility.

Could not recover my data even following all the methods posted. Also had an issue with my bank, they said they did not support above Firefox 25. :( I have been forced to move to the evil camp and use Crome, as that seems to work everywhere, and my bank supports it. :(

You can install the portable Firefox 24 ESR version to access websites that do not work with the current Firefox release.

The portable version comes with its own profile folder and doesn't interfere with the currently installed release version.

Found out more about this problem:

The issue that I ran into is that my bank requires 3rd party cookies, but I want to be asked about the cookie first, and that option is no longer available. So I can not get the browser to work as it did in past versions.

At some point Firefox removed the "Ask me about every cookie" option. To me this was one of 2 major reasons for using this browser. The other being able to have a master password.

My options seem to be allow ALL 3rd party cookies, yeah right, or allow them all when I am going to a banking site, then go through ALL the cookies and try to find the ones I do not want and manually remove them. Thank you Firefox for making something that used to be so easy so much more like Chrome!!!! ::EPIC_FAIL::
