Images come to me Ok but when I forward the email using Thunderbird don't show for my addressee. Why?
I have used Thunderbird for many years with no serious problems. However, in the past week I've started getting notifications from people that emails I am forwarding to them with embedded pictures are arriving with illustrations invisible - just blank rectangles, or grey squares - it varies! These are people with whom I've corresponded for years and they are on various email systems and ISPs. There doesn't seem to be anything consistent about the problem - sometimes they receive and sometimes they don't. Even alist of 20 sent the same email will get different results! I have a fixed list of addressees and some get the mail correctly one day but not the next! There hasn't been a case yet where EVERYBODY has not recieved the pictures! I haven't changed any settings and I always keep my Windows system updated when notified that updates are available. The incoming mails to me arrive from USA, South Africa, Australia - all over, so no consistency there either! I even tried sending one email back to sourrce and was told it arrived back minus photos - just blank squares!! Have you any idea what may be causing this - and more especially how to stop it? I've also noticed in the past 6 months or so that I can't copy and paste pictures from Thunderbird into Word - I need to paste into Paint Shop Pro 7 and then copy out again. Thank you. Hi Peter MacGregor,
That is odd, is there a restriction on attachments in the mail client? View > View Attachments Inline? Matt's blog is pretty awesome: http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.../file-attachments-in-thunderbird.html http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=710775
