I accidentially typed some random letters in the address bar and got directed to ask.com, which is neither in my serach engine list, nor in the bookmarks (as a shortcut or something) nor in the history (until now, of course).

I don't know what I typed, but ended up with a search for "t" on ask.com. I've tried to reproduce this, typing "ask" or "ask t" or "a t" to see if there's any shortcut or if the intelligent address guessing / "I'm feeling lucky" kicks in and gets me to ask.com, but I always ended up with a google search (like I want it). So now I wonder where this ask.com might come from, as I've never used that site before, hence haven't included it in my search engine list, bookmarks or anything.

Oh, and I've no extra toolbars installed (especially not from ask.com)

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use a Google Lucky search.

That didn't help, sorry. How is it that ask.com is built-in somewhere in Firefox?
