I accidently deleted "bookmarks toolbar items" when customising the bookmarks toolbar - how do I get it back?
I know what I did, but I don't know how to get it back. I've tried hiding /unhiding the Bookmarks toolbar using "View" but it keeps coming back empty. I've checked, and there are items in my Bookmarks Toolbar sub-folder, which used to show up until today.
Please help!

Do you have any Addon Toolbars installed, that aren't checked-marked in View?
If so, they don't show when the Customize Mode is open, unless you have them showing before opening Customize, and maybe the Bookmarks Toolbar Items were inadvertently move to a hidden Toolbar??
I'm not sure of that 'Restore will restore items from hidden toolbars or not.

Have you looked for "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" in the Customize Palette?
If you can't find it there, use the Restore Default Set button at the bottom of the Palette to reset all your Toolbar items to the Default Set.
It's not in the Customise Palette, even after I restored the default set.
Thanks for trying, but no solution yet, I'm afraid.

Good spot. I cannot see that the "lost icon" was on the hidden toolbar (AddThis) but unhiding and hiding the hidden toolbar fixed the problem.
A strange fix, but - hey - don't knock it if it works!
Thanks very much for your help.
You're quite welcome.
I have been customizing Firefox (and breaking it with some changes) for a long time now, but that is one thing I have never done myself. I just learned something new about the Bookmarks Toolbar Items!
