How do I stop AV 8 from trying to load when I open Firefox?
... the question remains the same, it's basic ... I try to start Mozilla Firefox (ver. 3.5.13) and AV 8 starts loading to my computer.
How do I stop it?

... yeah, I was able to come up with that much ... I guess my question SHOULD have been "Why, if AV8 & other 'fake malware/AV' ... ergo, malware itself ... are known about, why do the websites, and antivirus software already installed on one's computer, still let them thru?
I know how to 'stop' it ... X-out.

I guess it's just another one of those things that's irritating whan you THINK you've done about everything right, but the sw companies just can't get the junk stopped.
