Thd download process starts but the FF wizard doesn't come up to help me finish the download.
I had FF 3.5 and have used it with no problem for at least 2 yrs. I recently decided to download 3.6 and it hasn't come up since. At one point I was getting the following message:
The proxy server is refusing connections Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.
* Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
* Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.
I don't have a proxy server...I don't get that message now, absolutely NOTHING happened when I clicked on the icon, I tried going through the start menu as well as program files...Nothing. I deleted FF from my computer an tried to add it again and that's where I am now...download wizard is MIA...does anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to fix this? Thanks

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".
See "Firefox connection settings" in Server Not Found - Troubleshoot connection problems
You can find the connection settings in "Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection"
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
