Does Firefox load YouTube videos? If not then you need to update your Flash at http://www.get.adobe.com/flashplayer. If it does play then can you go to Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and click on Disable all addons when the dialog box popups?

Same problem on Hulu, I have the latest flash plug in. I tried safe mode with everything off but still does not work. The strange thing is when I am on the loaded screen where it says done and will not play, then I change any add-on and click on restart firefox it comes up and is playing the video correctly, then when I click on another video it just goes back to the done screen without the video playing. How can I fix this problem? Thanks for your help!

I have the same problem I cant play hulu videos in Firefox 3.6.3. I tried IE-8 and it plays fine. I think since Hulu released their new layer it may not be optimized for Firefox as of yet. But that's just my own speculation.

I was fine before latest Firefox upgrade. Firefox upgraded to 3.6.4. Upgrade page warned to download latest flash player. Did that, now commercials play fine but show will not play. Error says "Sorry, unable to stream this video please check your internet connection and try again"

I downgraded Firefox to version 3.5.10 and now hulu works with no problems. Would have liked to try version 3.6.2 or 3.6.3 but couldn't find them.
