I recently upgraded from 108.0.2 (64-bit) to 109.01 but it slowed my PC down to the point of uselessness. Nothing else changed application or OS-wise. PC, OS and all Apps are current & up to date. Defrag, Cache Clear a& all similar utilities run on scheduled basis prior to upgrade and everything A-OK.

Is this a Known Issue? If so, is there a fix coming

Interesting... Can you post a screenshot of the task manager's performance tab with firefox open so that we can see the performance issue? You can also get OBS to record your screen and post it on YouTube so we can see the issue.

Due to the performance issues, I backdated my machine 6-7 days from the update event, wiping out the newer version so, I'm sorry, all that is gone.

I do remember TaskMgr PerfTab was pretty much pegged @97-99%.

No problem, is the issue resolved? If so, mark this issue resolved and have a nice day.

The only fix available was to restore to an earlier date, thereby uninstalling the update.

Since then, my only problem has been the annoying little dialogue box reminding me there's a new version and I should update to it.

I'm going to stay on the old version until I'm forced to update again.

Then, if there's a recurrence of my issue, or new ones, I'll just jump to another browser.

There's no way I know of to see what's different in an update to decide if I want/need it which is frustrating.
