I recently switched from Brave to FF. An annoying problem is that whenever I click web links in external programs such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook etc Firefox always opens it in a new window instead of a new tab like Brave did. Also the window it opens does not have my extensions enabled, indicating that it is some form of incognito or web view window or something? These are my settings.

How can I solve this issue?

What you first need to do isn't use about:config unless there is some deeper issue that needs fixing. You should first check your in browser settings to insure they haven't been change from default or if changed make sure they are set correctly. As to Brave that isn't Firefox so that isn't some that can be done about in this forum that is for Brave support to resolve that issue. Also Chrome is chrome what they do Firefox can't always do because they are a Corporation compared to a non-profit Firefox. I also see your using Chrome smartphone vs Chrome Desktop or Firefox desktop and the changes most likely is because smartphone features are different then on Desktop. So unless Chrome desktop has that feature sounds mostly limited to the smartphone feature of Chrome.

If one wants something for future Firefox then they need to make a suggestion not ask the forum as this is only for End user help not a support or request line.
