Hello,

Similar to a previous question that didn't get resolved, every time I open Mozilla I receive the following messages: first "Error With Account" password send failure, then after closing that one - I get the "Login to Account Failed" prompt.

When I enter the password with the "enter new password" or using the Retry option results in the "Error with Account" message returning and the loop will continue until I click Cancel.

This happened soon after I changed the password for that email on the host platform.

I love Mozilla and hope to continue using it but this along with gmail sign-in issues is making Mozilla unusable. Please help? Thanks!

In Thunderbird's menu, select Preferences. In Preferences, go to the Privacy & Security section, then under the Passwords heading, click the Saved Passwords button. This will open Thunderbird's password manager/vault. Click the Show Passwords button. You can resize the password vault's window by dragging the bottom-right corner. Update all occurences of the old password with the new. All entries for the affected account should have the new password.

Thanks for your help!! I cleaned up my saved passwords like you suggested. Mozilla seemed to take a few minutes to catch on but now it's logging in to the account just fine. Woot!

I was having the same problem with Gmail accounts - login authentication failed. In the process of redoing my passwords I got a Google popup window to sign in to one of the email accounts and that fixed that one. Now I'm just trying to get the 2nd Gmail account to give me that same popup...
