Firefox just updated to 94.0.1 (64-bit). When I restarted the browser, I found it had deleted my home pages. Fortunately, I have them in Edge and was able to set them up again. Also, Firefox reset my options, for example, when I open a PDF link, I have it open my PDF reader. Now, Firefox wants to download it.

Can you guys stop screwing with the settings every time you update the browser? It's no wonder why Firefox is losing users.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

Sometimes when the browser thinks there is a problem with the profile, it will create a new one.

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

What security software do you have as it is possible that your security software is causing this issue ?

You can check in the profile folder if you have numbered prefs-##.js files.

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).

To Cor-el: I'm using Window 10's default security.

To FredMcD: There was no Old Firefox folder that I'm used to seeing. This is why I posted. Thanks for the link to report bugs but there is no "submit bugs" at that site. Only "share ideas" and no easy way to do that. A bug is not a request for more features. Mozilla needs to fix their bugs first.. Besides, this is a support issue.
