Hi, I 'repaired' a folder and all the emails have disappeared (blank screen). Numerals on bottom line indicate the emails are there somewhere. Help please

I moved 7 unopened emails from my inbox to the appropriate folder. The receiving folder name turned to bold type and showed the emails as being there. When I opened the folder the new emails were not being shown so I "repaired" the folder which then turned to a blank screen and now no emails are visible. Numerals at the bottom of the page indicate the emails are still there but I cannot retrieve them. My desktop uses Windows 10. Any help gratefully received
