Compuserve accounts use AOL settings:

I recommend adding the account manually, and using OAuth2 authentication with your usual account password.

When you're entering the settings, change the name to something else than the default, which is the email address, or change the name (Account Name) of the account that's already set up.

Have tried all options none of which works!

Have just been emailed by AOL support that the authentication on their server does not seem to be working!

They are working on it!!

I will try again next week and keep you posted.
