I'm getting crashes about 10 times a day. Used to get those "gah..." annoying messages, I've gone to change these configs ( browser.tabs.remote.autostart / 2 to ) as I read it helps, well since that the whole bloody thing crashes. So I'm now changing it back.

Very frustrating. Just updated to 59 to see if it makes a difference, 2 crashes within an hour since. I've sent an incredible number of crash reports with the auto-reporting feature in the past week.

I'm on the edge of ditching this grand new fireshit for good, it's not much different from Chrome now anyway since the dumbing down of interfaces.

So this is my last effort towards this; can anyone help me with this? Without reinstalling the whole friggen mess, mind, as I do NOT want to lose all my personal configs, if I do that, might as well ditch this rubbish of a browser now and go back to v56 or palemoon, or indeed chrome.

Using win7 btw.

Hi, going back and forth between versions and sending crash reports makes them null/void as nothing is the same anymore. you need to stick to 1 version and we will help you get 59.0.2 going. If your system is old with little ram has had no motherboard updates, can not update video card any longer and the system is 5yrs or old then you perhaps should be on the Extended Version Release 52,7,3 instead.

Your using aprox 130megs in ram just on extensions/add-ons.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Video Card Driver Errors This is the reason you are having so much problems and it is crashing. featureLog: {u'fallbacks': [{u'message': u'Unsupported by driver', u'name': u'NO_CONSTANT_BUFFER_OFFSETTING'}],

Provided you have stuck in the right drivers and it is identifying correctly. The Drivers you should be running were released in March this year and the drivers you have were released May 2017 https://www.geforce.com/drivers you want WHQL drivers

Based on the assumption that you are running Win7 x64

So what is it you would like to do ? Try and fix 59.02 or move to the 52.7.3ESR Version ?

Of course, after you have uninstalled the video card drivers and updated them to the new ones.

Thanks for the responses.

Drivers I can update, no probs, let's try that first. I'll do a clean update, hope it fixes this.

Note: I did not go back and forth between versions, I've merely updated today.

Going back to v52 is tempting, though, I may even still have some backed up profiles from the sub-57 version. That'd mean I could use my old tools, and mouse gestures would work everywhere. Very tempting.

The system is less than a year old, built with more expensive, higher quality components:

Corsair Carbide 600Q ASUS Maximus 9 Hero i7-6700k NZXT Kraken X62 cooler G.Skill Trident Z 32GB (2x 16GB) DDR4 3200MHz Samsung 960 Evo (nvme) ZOTAC GTX 1080 TI AMP Extreme Seasonic Prime 850W Titanium

I've fired up the browser this morning with the brand-spanking-new video drivers, and had two consecutive "gah..." crashes of tabs, so I've restarted the whole browser so I can try to work, hopefully.

Btw this tab-restore feature can be incorrect; sometimes it restores the iFrame on the page that I was working in as the top page, rather than the crashed full page.

Nice System, I have 3 Maximus Boards and Gskill also with I7-4970K, coming on 5yrs and at 4gig GHz can not complain. Seems rather strange with all the power that it is crashing like that. So is the weirdness that I never have any Firefox issues and never do anything to mine while others have a nightmare.

It seems more like a driver issue still. Have you gone to your Asus Support page and download/installed all the updated drivers as the CD is outdated when buy it. https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-IX-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/ Should also download all the stuff for Win10 in case go up as is not bad once beat it into submission..

If the tab-restore thing is a add-on you will need to take that up on the developers page/support/contact.

  • Repair System Registry and Files

Find the Dos Prompt Right or Powershell Click and Run as Administrator then : Copy/Paste to Dos Window : SFC /Scannow (SFC <space>/Scannow) then hit Enter. Reboot when completed.

WRT ASUS drivers: yes I've done that initially. I never use CDs for drivers.

Funnily, since the restart this morn, it's stable (that is, for the last hour and a half).

The tab restore is part of the error reporting popup, built-in I believe. I certainly did not install any kind of addons for this purpose. (Which does not exclude the possibility that it's included in one, but I've no real way of checking).

I'll try that scan next, thanks.

Heh. did that. completed, found errors - and could not fix them all.

But how about this? Straight afterwards I had a BSOD 024. Fucking funny. Haven't had a BSOD on this computer, yet.

So it seems I do have serious driver problems to sort out - thanks for all the help, and apologies for spitting the dummy.

I'll try and sort it all out from here.
