There used to be a bar underneath the search that you could use to put tabs of pages you wanted to save. I can no longer find it, nor access that bar since the update to firefox changing how it looks entirely too. Can I get back to this? I had important information saved on this. Where is the option to reuse this on the recent update?

It's called the Bookmarks Toolbar. To turn different bars on and off, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there:

  • right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)
  • (menu bar) View > Toolbars
On Windows, tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar temporarily.
  • in Customize mode > Show/Hide Toolbars (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)

To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, Menu Bar, or other bars, click it on the list.

Success?

There is a "real" bookmarks menu button for the toolbar. You can add it from Customize, or use the "Library" button as described in the article linked below:

Are you talking about the Bookmarks Bar?

Type about:customizing<enter> in the address bar. Look for Show / Hide Toolbars at the bottom left.

There is also a Restore Defaults button at the bottom middle.

Note: about:customizing is no longer present in Firefox 47+ releases.

  • Press Alt or F10 to bring up the toolbar.
Then View > Toolbars > Customize.
  • Right-click on a blank spot in the toolbar and select Customize.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.
