Not as such. I use a field named "Organization" which works pretty well for me. But the question probably comes down to what "categories" means in your other client, and whether it signifies any additional functionality.

Whilst "Organization" is treated as part of the Contacts' "work" data, you can pick and choose which columns to include in the listing page, so you can include "Organization" in your Contact listings and search or sort on it.
