Could you clarify which list it shows up in -- is it the one that appears when you click the little downward-pointing triangle in the address bar? In that list, I think you may be able to hide an item by using the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the selection bar down to it and then pressing the Delete key. (I haven't tested that, as there is nothing I currently want to delete from mine...)

To completely rip all references to that site out of Firefox, including history, cookies, bookmarks, and site preferences such as zoom level and pop-up permission, you can use the "Forget About This Site" feature. You can find that in the Library dialog (Ctrl+Shift+h or "Show All History"), on the right-click context menu for a history entry for that site. Please be patient, as this can take a minute or two to process if you have a lot of history. Also, there's no undo, so be careful to click the right site.

Also, the forum software detected your Firefox as version 35. Is that correct?

Version 35 is not secure; Mozilla discloses security flaws after each new release. Is something holding you back from upgrading to Firefox 40? Please let us know so we can suggest solutions or workarounds.

There were some issues with some add-ons not working in Firefox 36, but those should all have been solved long ago.

If Help > About Firefox shows Firefox 40.0.3, you may need to clear the preference that is misreporting your version number. See: How to reset the default user agent on Firefox.

Thanks. It's rather funny. I'm so used to right-clicking on virtually anything and having a delete option, that I forgot about the "delete" button on my keyboard. Sure enough, when I scrolled down through the list (Yes, drop-down from address bar.), highlighted the dead site, and hit the "delete" key, it disappeared. Thanks for your help. Cheers.
