Kinda just throwing this out here. I have over 5 thousands tabs open on mobile. If I had to wager a guess I'd say I have at least 10,000 if not 20,000. I did actually count to the 5,000 for certain. My main question is I just wanna know if there is a way to definitively know how many I have. I know on the desktop version you can and I have done so, but that wont tell you how many are open on mobile. When ever I try to share all tabs my firefox immediately crashes, all the tabs will reopen afterwards. I just really wanna know how many tabs I have so I write down the number and get to closing them. Thank you for reading.

I'm not sure if this behavior is intended or not.. but it seems unusual and like some sort of glitch.

Firefox re-opens tabs after the browser is closed. Say I hypothetically open the app to make a Google search, open a few tabs from the results, do some research, then close the most recent 4 tabs and then immediately close the entire app.

Upon my next opening of the app, I'm served the New Tab screen. Tapping the square icon that brings up my list of currently open tabs, reveals that those 4 tabs from my previous session have returned. This has persisted through the last few updates, and I've just been living with it for a month or two. If I close a bunch of tabs at once and then keep browsing, sometimes I'm able to keep some of them dead, but some will come back I think. It's inconsistent and strange.

Any help is appreciated.

I opened Firefox on my fold 5 and I can't see my tabs...I only see a small box with a number that represents the websites I have open. If I click that numbered box a window opens showing me all the tabs still open. I would like to view my tabs the old way...the way it was when I fell in love with Firefox. Is it not possible with fold 5 or am I doing something wrong???

If I open chrome however it does display all tabs in toolbar menu area. I could just use Chrome but as mentioned I would rather stay loyal to Firefox.

Thanks in advance, Mike s

I'm using firefox nightly for android currently, but had this issue with regular version as well. Every time i switch back to firefox it reloads the webpage, often causing data loss, video disruption, etc.

Example: log in using a code we sent to email. Go to email to get code, come back to firefox, page reloads, have to start over.

Is there a way to turn this feature off? I'm also often in zones wlth poor connection so the reload can be slow to impossible.

I am daily frustrated with this. I would switch browsers to avoid it if i thought there was a better choice.

Why doses back gesture doesn't delete the current tab. Whenever I go back to homepage it creates new tab and by the time I knew there are multiple tab that I need to close now. Back gesture should delete the current tab when we wanted to go to homepage. Chrome has this feature and Firefox should have this too. I just switched from that's why I am asking. Please guide me.

I only use Firefox because any program I use will work with it, without any problems. How do I stop this from happening? These appear to be spam sites. Thank you Timothy

Cheers geeks,

Recently, this new, exceptionally annoying tab auto-refresh feature on Firefox came to my attention that I hadn't experienced two or three years ago. I've been using Firefox mobile since 2015.

Whenever I fill out a form and switch to another tab or app, the website refreshes, causing me to lose all my progress.

Whose marvelous idea was this, and what on earth is the bloody purpose behind it?

Unfortunately, I haven't found any workaround to disable it so far. The about:config doesn't work on mobile.

I've read something about RAM resource management, but seriously, does this single tab really require management when most devices have 8 - 16 GB RAM these days?

Please help, I'm desperate for a solution!

Hello, I'm writing to describe a recurring problem I'm facing while using Firefox on my Android device, and I need your help to find a solution.

The issue is that my tabs keep getting accidentally deleted when I scroll up and down. The touchscreen on my device is highly sensitive, and simple scrolling often triggers the "left or right swipe" action, causing the current tab to close. This is incredibly frustrating as I like to keep my tabs organized, and having to reopen them repeatedly is time-consuming.

I've tried looking for a solution in the Firefox for Android settings config:about, but I haven't been successful so far. Is there any way to disable or adjust this feature so that left swiping no longer closes my tabs?

I'm a dedicated Firefox user and would like to continue using this browser, but this problem is significantly impacting my browsing experience. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with a solution to this issue.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards, Denise

I have to use a payroll app for android that logs in on the default browser, mine being Firefox. After logging in on Firefox, I am redirected to the app. The issue is the tab on Firefox doesn't close, so every time I open Firefox it takes me to the payroll app before I can close the tab or even do anything. Restarting my phone seems to fix the issue, but that's unrealistic to have to do that every time I open an app that logs in through the default browser.

How do I dublicate a tab in the android app as I would in the flatpak/desktop application?

(I do know that I can create a new tab, copy the adress from the old tab, paste it into the adressbar of the new tab and hit enter, but this doesn't keep the "forward/backwards history" as on desktop, and it is really slow.)

Is there any way from stopping firefox mobile from refreshing itself whenever I go to different app to respond someone's message or copy some info?

I had turned off/on any settings regarding battery usage for this app and it didn't help. I use redmi note 12 and I had same problem on my previous phone redmi 8. I also use Firefox app on iPad air 4 and don't have such problems.

It's literally the only thing that bugs me regarding Firefox, I have no other complaints just this foreced refresh.
