When I play a video, and open another tab, the tab with the video will sometimes change into a whole new window. I don't click anything specific to make the tab change into a window, it will just do it a few minutes after I open the new tab. Does anyone have a clue on how to prevent this. Thank you!

Make sure that you do not drag a tab in the browser window.
Current Firefox versions have a feature called tear-off tabs.
You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

Thank you cor-el, that fixed it! It was starting to get really annoying.

Thanks for the info, Cor-el. I had a problem, too, with tabs getting detached too easily. I hadn't figured out that you could drag the tab back, but it's still aggravating. The add-on fixed it.
