i will be on one sight and it will freeze.then i x it out and try to reopen and it won't.it won't reopen anything, down the bottom it shows a blank site, you know how when you minimize a site and it shows a small ba stating what sight has been minimized.wel it has that bar there but it is totally blank. So to get rid of it i have to reboot.and found that when i reboot everything then works fine. But i shouln't have to reboot it everyonce in a while. So can you please tell me what the deal is if you know. may God bless Trish

Is there any pattern to the freezing? If it seems to be related to Flash, you might consider disabling the new protected mode in Flash 11.3. See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

Also, to avoid rebooting Windows, you could try terminating Firefox using the Windows Task Manager.

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager

If Firefox is present on the Applications tab, go ahead and highlight it and End Task.

Next, check the processes tab for either or both of the following and End Process on each:

plugin-container.exe
firefox.exe

Then you can close the dialog and you should be able to restart Firefox immediately.
