I have recently had 2 malware items found by my antivirus. I noticed this program running that I did not recognize. Location is C:\Windows\Temp\_ex-68.exe . It says it is "MozillaAgent". Is this file legitimate? The company name on the executable is X-Ways Software Technology AG and the Version says 64.54.225.241. I don't remember doing anything with Firefox yesterday (when this program says it was installed). In fact I don't think I used Firefox as a browser yesterday, since I use IE as often as not.

Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

No, that file is not a legitimate Mozilla program.

It sounds like your computer may still be infected with some sort of a virus / Malware.

I suggest the following resources:

Is my Firefox problem a Result of Malware is a Mozilla Support article with some good tips on avoiding and fighting malware.

To double check your system is clean, do the following (Not official Mozilla advice, just good practice from personal experience)

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Download and Run TDSSKiller http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363

Download and Install Microsoft Security Essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials (not an official endorsement, but I personally recommend MSE as an awesome permanent anti-virus)

Double check for all Windows Updates.

If you are still having problems with Malware after that, I would recommend either http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/, or having your computer cleaned by a professional.

Thanks for the input. I knew it looked fishy. :)

I have Avira running and I did scans using Adaware and Microtrend, but they found nothing. I ran MBAM and it found 7 items. Fingers crossed that it's sorted. Thanks again.
