When I highlight links to copy, they open upon mouse release?

I just want to highlight a page of links with the left button, ctrl C, then ctrl V elsewhere. What happens is that I highlight the page, and upon left click release, the last link highlighted is opened as if I had clicked on it. I do this action daily, so it's new. I don't have any add ons enabled, and I don't see that I've updated anything. What else could be causing this? It's happening on websites and on Google searches.

Right-click the link and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy the link (put it on the clipboard), then you can paste elsewhere using available paste methods.

Right, but what if I have 1000 links? I want to highlight down the entire page without selecting all, which would also have me paste text boxes and other graphics. I think it might be a mouse issue, but I'm not sure.

Did you try Save mode ?

You may also have a problem with your mouse, so maybe try a different mouse as a test.

I have never used it, but you can try this Add-on:
