Can't Bookmark In Two Separate Folders

more options

G'morning,

I'm trying to Bookmark websites in two different folders.

  1. I create a Bookmark in Folder 1.
  2. I check to see that I've successfully created a Bookmark in Folder 1.
  3. Then I leave the web page open and create a Bookmark for the same page in Folder 2.
  4. I check to see that I've successfully created a Bookmark in Folder 2.
  5. I go back to check that the Bookmark I created in Folder 1 is still there. It is not.
  6. I go back to check if the Bookmark I created in Folder 2 is still there. It is.
  7. Numbered list item If I Bookmark the page again in Folder 1, then it disappears from Folder 2.

Why can't I Bookmark the same page in multiple locations? How do I do this? I don't want to use Tags. It doesn't suit my purpose.

Thanks -

I don't care for Tags either, and have used both of these to save the same bookmark to multiple locations on mu WinXP PC's, since Firefox 3 when Tags were introduced. Hopefully it works with Firefox on Mac OSX, too.

1. Drag the website image (favicon) from the Location bar into your Bookmarks. Works with either the Bookmarks Sidebar or the Bookmarks menu drop-downs.

2. Or use this extension - Add Bookmark Here ² :
