I'm new to this forum and don't know how to provide the feedback that this solution did not work in my case. I'm using Mac OS 10.4.11 and the login I'm dealing with is a for school attendance, so maybe those make it different than this posting. I did hover the mouse over the listing I wanted to delete, didn't click it, and pressed the delete key on the keyboard and it only deleted a letter in user name. When I began to re-type the listing I wanted deleted was still there.

I've got a separate post someplace I just put up, so we'll see if that or this generates a solution.

• Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
• Highlight an entry in the drop down list
• Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Firefox will remember new form data when entered.
