How can I download Firefox 4 for the Mac? (I have Firefox 5.0.1, but want to try Google toolbar)
Google Toolbar says it only works with Firefox 2-4.0, and it won't load, since I have Firefox 5.0.1.

You don't have it and you want to try it, why?
The Google Toolbar is no longer supported by Google in Firefox 5 and up, you may be able to get what you want from it for a limited time, the directions to install the Google Toolbar were posted before Google actually announced dropping support.

Thanks much for the helpful information and links; it certainly doesn't seem worth pursuing the Google Toolbar. I had just come across a description of Google Toolbar, and it seemed to have some obvious features that I thought might be useful; I'm a naive enough user of Firefox that I haven't really explored what its potential is - but I'll look into it.
