Visiting favorite sites multiple times in one day causes Firefox to revert to HTML cache for those sites?

when this happens, plugins do not work, there are no graphics or photos, only underlined blue text in Times New Roman font. Clearing the cache and cookies solves the problem for several more visits, then problem recurs. Occurs mainly with my Wordpress blog and this colon cancer forum: http://coloncancersupport.colonclub.com/viewforum.php?f=1
